Squeaker

On Gotcha Day, the orphanage director brought Joshua in with a brand new outfit and shoes on. We had been told to save his clothes from the orphanage in Ziploc bags in order to preserve the smell. It can be very comforting in the transition period for the kids to get a whiff of their past. Anyway since his clothes smelled brand new, I haven't zipped them up.

But the one thing I will probably save forever is the new pair of shoes they brought him in! They're squeaky shoes and they squeak with every step. Joshua absolutely loves them!!!
They are the first things he runs for when he wakes up and brings them to me to put them on. He loves to hear himself squeak! He also loves to run... you can hear him picking up speed! If you chase him he gets the biggest grin, and giggles. It's delightful. We're going to try to post some video soon of him being chased... his facial expression will melt you.

If you go on You Tube and search "squeaky shoes" there is a really cute video of a little girl running around her house in squeaky shoes with a pug chasing her. It's hilarious!

Can't wait to get "Squeaky" home and love on him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He looks very mischievious in that second picture...like he just did something he should be in trouble for, but thought he would try and grin his way out of it!!! Squeak, squeak!

Hmmm....I wonder if you could maybe find another pair of squeaky shoes in the next size up for when he outgrows these. He will probably get a kick out of shoes that light up as well. Bring on the video of him being chased....can't wait!! :o)

We love squeaky shoes at our house! When Abigayl joined our family 2 years ago at 15 months, she wasn't walking. We bought a pair of squeakies and she was off running in a few days! It was a sad day when the kids all out grew squeakies in our house! We are looking forward to more as soon as we hit china again!
we love see all the pictures, who a handsome boy you have!
Blessings,

Those shoes should be on the market in the U.S. I hear them everywhere up here! If you need to find out where, I have a friend who has a little girl with them and I could ask her!
